Guidelines for BreakoutEDU Kits
The library has 5 total kits they can lend out to classes.
Due to the nature of the kits (many intricate parts, possible resetting of locks redering them unusable, preperation of materials, etc.), there are some guidelines that must be followed in order to run a Breakout in your classroom. The goal of the library is for Breakouts to be run across campus smoothly, effectively, and timely. Therefore, please review the guidelines below on how to YOU can run a Breakout in your classroom.

The librarian must be present in order to run a Breakout in your classroom or in the library for the first time. Due to the nature of set up and clean up, we must be present in order to make sure the Breakout runs smoothly and all parts are returned correctly. |
Teachers must book the Breakout at least one week in advance. This is in order to make sure all printed materials are prepared, laminated, locks are set, and the librarian's time is available. |
All Breakouts should be run on a block day in order to coordinate enough time to set up, reset, and run the game. |
The teacher running the Breakout as well as the library must have thorough knowledge of the game being played in order to best facilitate the activity. |
